College Football Week #10 – Some 250 games on TV! Biggest is #T2 Vols at #1 Georgia, 3:30 ET on CBS

  • Tennessee (T2 with Ohio State in AP Poll) vs. Georgia is unquestionably the best game this Saturday. Another weekend when CBS is getting the top matchup. Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson are terrific together and they’ll have another dandy, unless it turns out into an unforeseen blowout.
  • Wes Durham has the lead role UNC at Virginia. Durham grew up admiring his dad, Woody, beloved by all North Carolinians on Tar Heels. Wes can do TV one day on ESPN and radio the next, adjusting his smooth style, Saturday  to Sunday, switching to a radiocaster for the Falcons.
  • Alabama at LSU should be fun for fans in prime on ESPN. Let’s hope that Chris Fowler leads the way, if Herbie lets him. Chris is getting batter and better. For good or for bad, they have some significant years ahead together.
  • Ryan Leaf’s name is on the broadcast ledger regularly almost. He battled issues out of college. Good to see him fight his way off the floor.
  • ESPN’s Bob Wischusen is a fun and natural listen. His partner Dan Orlovsky still needs to take a step back. Don’t make everyone crazy.
  • Cory Provous is a close relative of Cowboys’ voice, Brad Sham.
  • John Sadak is on New Mexico at Utica State Saturday on CBSSN. Partner is Randy Cross, onetime on mainstream CBS NFL.
  • Kevin Brown Navy at Cincinnati – does Orioles games. The man has talent. He’s on ESPNU Saturday.
