COLLEGE FOOTBALL

College Football Week #12; Never dull; All games lead up to Thanksgiving and rivalry weekend

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEKEND

  • Most competitive of highly rated accounts: #7 USC @ #16 UCLA at 8:00 PM and #10 Utah @ Oregon #12 – -10:30 PM
  • I wish Brian Custer was more than just a little better. He’s not a football man. Loves the Sweet-Science of boxing.
  • TCU, 4th in America, against Baylor at home, and 6-4. Could it be a surprise?
  • How long will Austin Peay survive against Alabama Saturday? Probably a New York minute.
  • It’s been a strange year in the Sunshine State. The Gators are nowhere to be found with a 6-4 record. When the school doesn’t win in Gainesville, you’re forgotten. Same things with Florida State. Recent seasons didn’t sparkle. Now they’re coming back a bit. FSU is 5-3. Both teams have new broadcasters. Mick Hubert at Florida was succeeded by Sean Kelly. Mick had 33 years of football and basketball. The Noles were presided over on radio for both football and basketball by Gene Deckerhoff. Four decades worth! At 77, he retired from the college scene but stuck with the Bucs of the NFL, something he’s done since 1989.
  • Jason Benetti sounds a little like Dick Enberg.
  • McDonough and Blackledge are a perfect mix. Todd says more of material than most on this list.
