College Football Week #4: Fox has biggest game of the weekend, Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin in Chicago

COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2021 –WEEK #4 NOTES

Gus Johnson takes a deep dive on Sunday, after his headline college game Saturday, Notre Dame-Wisconsin in Chicago Saturday. That may very well be the best rated college game Saturday. It’s on Fox. Sunday, he’ll preside over the NFL Arizona-Jacksonville matchup. This might very well be a new low. It will be seen on only four stations Sunday and 3% of the country.

Tom Brando has Colorado State vs Iowa State. Tim is particularly impassioned about college football. Here’s how hw sees the top ten teams this week.

Joe Davis was taken off the Baylor game because he’s suffering from Covid. Get well soon.

ESPN’s top team on Saturday night has West Virginia at Oklahoma on ABC. Top as ESPN labels it, Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.

According to Sports Media Watch:

“The college football season continued its strong start in the ratings in week three. Last Saturday’s Alabama-Florida and Auburn-Penn State college football games were the fourth and fifth of the college football season to cross the seven million viewer mark, the most in the first three weeks of play since 2016 (also five). Last season, it took until mid-October before a single game averaged even six million.”

ESPN’s best team (in my humble view), Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge and Molly McGrath have Rutgers at Michigan on ABC.

Solid Brandon Gaudin better have tons of material ready and I’m sure he does. He calls Akron at Ohio State on the Big Ten Network
