Week #13 College Football: #1 Tide in Iron Bowl; #2 Irish, #3 Ohio State cancelled; #4 Clemson plays

COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2020 #Week 13

Number #1 Alabama has its annual battle against in-state rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl on CBS.

ESPN’s featured games are those where top-crews are assigned and they work directly from the site. Many of the other matchups are done off monitors. This weekend’s ESPN’s features are:

Friday… Notre Dame-UNC (ABC 3:30 p.m.)

Saturday …Kentucky-Florida (ESPN 12 p.m.) Pittsburgh-Clemson (ESPN 3:30 p.m.) and Oklahoma-West Virginia (ABC 7:30 p.m.)

Fox Sports also begins its college basketball coverage this weekend, covering  #1 Gonzaga and #6 Kansas in the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Thanksgiving Day.

Play-by-player Gus Johnson, Jim Jackson, a former All-American and NBA veteran, and Bill Raftery, an Emmy Award winning broadcaster, serve as FOX’ lead announcers.

The number of football cancellations are again aplenty this weekend. The schedule is fluid. The number of cancellations/postponements are already over ten (on 11/25).

For those games called by announcers from their home studios, it makes life a little easier when there’s a last second postponement or cancellation.

Ed Cohen, who does the Knicks’ games on radio gets a football assignment this Saturday, Kent State at Buffalo on CBS Sports Network.

Team baseball voices assigned football this weekend include Dave Flemming, Dave O’Brien, Joe Davis and Sean McDonough
